THE WORK WE DO
HOW WE DO IT
WHO WE ARE
At its core, strategy is all about creating the right plan, preparing for it, and sticking with it. It's about what to do and what NOT to do. The right ways to trade off - the ability to smartly say "no" or "not yet" to the thousands of wonderful ideas we'd like to pursue so that we can really deliver on the ideas that are most critical. Why is this so hard? Because, despite all of the tools, models and processes out there, moving a strategy forward requires leaders to manage different opinions, approaches, and egos. Knowing how to navigate the current of good thinking (evident or unearthed) is paramount so that in the end, the best decisions are obvious.
The answers for where your company needs to go are rooted in your organization, your competition, and your customers. Your strategy should represent a living, breathing blueprint from which everyone can get on board and move in the same direction.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE AND DESIGN.
pro-voke helps you connect to the right data, expose the thinking that is present, and engage in dialogue that drives crisp, compelling strategy by:
• defining strategic directions, critical needs, elements, and differentiators
• implementing/streamlining governance and decision-making practices
• weaving critical strategic principles to key behaviors that allow them to grow
It takes time and effort (that you probably don't have in abundance) to uncover the creative peak where new thinking and innovation are more accessible. Blue-sky thinking and actionable thinking do not need to be enemies of each other. Think of us as sherpas - partners who can create a path and leverage a keen sense of organizational terrain and climate.
With that new direction laid out and a renewed sense of your possibilities, you can best set a course for reframing, refining, and reinventing.
CLARITY OF PURPOSE.
BUILDING MUSCLE FOR INNOVATION.
pro-voke assists in navigating you toward “new” by:
• conducting rigorous, results-driven blue-sky thinking sessions
• designing and implementing meaningful innovation search conferences
• working with leadership teams to establish, validate, and galvanize company mission and vision.
A memo. Read, deleted, and forgotten. People crave and consume information at a faster pace than ever before from a wide range of media. No matter the channel you use, communications need to be clear and simple and connected to the emotional narrative that performance and constant change require.
Meetings need to go beyond the surface of talking points -- they need to sound more like the conversations that occur after the meetings, the private texts that get sent during the meetings, and the hallway conversations that feed the grapevine of the company.
LARGE-SCALE MEETING DESIGN.
STRATEGIC CHANGE MANAGEMENT.
pro-voke helps cut through messaging to get at what people need to hear and what people want to hear - providing ways to make sure your words resonate by:
• preparing leaders in maximizing their impact and connection through speaking skills that create meaningful, transparent messages
• preparing an organization for eventful and/or continual change through a wide range of strategic processes, interventions, and tools
• synthesizing and simplifying strategic messaging to surface key themes
• designing and producing a wide range of communication strategies, documents, and tools
It can be lonely at the top. Leaders need help. They need a sounding board and a boost. It's easy to forget that leaders have the same needs every successful person encounters during a career. They need help establishing and sustaining a mindset and a structure that promotes success - for themselves, their teams, and the company.
Essentially, they need the ability to identify, build, evolve, and nurture the teams that they want AND need.
LEADERSHIP COUNSEL AND DEVELOPMENT.
MEANINGFUL, CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK.
OPTIMIZING TEAMS AND TEAMWORK.
pro-voke will help your leaders define their signature strengths and their leadership gaps - identified by their colleagues, their teams, and the leaders who support their success through:
• the co-creation of intentional development plans
• formal and informal 360-degree feedback methods
• organization-wide talent and succession planning design and oversight
• individual and high-potential career pathing processes
• constructive interventions for leaders with developmental edges
Is your culture a competitive advantage? Every organization has one - whether intentionally created or not. What formal and informal ways of working well (or not so well) prevail?
Are espoused values understood and embraced all over the company? How many promises made during recruitment are kept well beyond the interviews and orientations? Does your cultural identity match your brand? How does your desired culture translate across multiple departments and multiple geographies?
What do people who work with you say about their experience? What do they tell their friends about the organization at weekend barbecues? Why do they stay with you? Do they stay with you?
CULTURAL CLARITY AND COMPETENCE.
REINFORCING TOOLS THAT FEED AND FUEL.
pro-voke surfaces the current culture, allows you to acknowledge it, and provides effective solutions for moving it forward by:
• conducting organizational scans that clearly identify the “as-is” and “to-be” work environments
• designing and tailoring “cultural dashboards” with performance indicators and simple gauges that set expectations and measure ongoing success
• providing key themes and activation plans that grow and sustain the health of a desired company climate.

Hannaford Bros. Co.
When you hire a consultant, sometimes it’s to tell you what you already know, sometimes it’s to go faster, and sometimes it’s because you don’t have the expertise. A different approach is to find a true partner to consider what you have never thought about, or to reframe “age old” unresolved issues in a way that makes them newly surmountable. In a world with so many choices, pro-voke artfully and unapologetically knows how to help you stand out.
